Does anyone think we should get some kind of thermometer or temperature-telling device? If so, what should we get?

I don't care if we get one or not, but if we decide to do it then I (Saad) will buy it.

I did have a couple thoughts on the thermomter... A couple different ways to go:
1. Pick up one of the thermometers people stick in their ears. I know they are instant read, and I *think* that they just read the temperature right around the probe. I know they are IR, they don't require direct contact. This may be a cheap and dirty alternative to an expensive IR thermometer because I know that you can pick one of these up for around 30 bucks.
2. One of the weather station thermometers. You can get one that has a base station and several remote probes that could be set up in different rooms of the house and then remotely monitored from a central location. This would alert us to any dramatic changes in ambient room temperature in places that we are not in. However... it would require someone to keep an eye on the base station for it to do any good.
